      ARTICLE VII:  DUTIES OF APPOINTEES (Continued)    
      2.  The Rules Chair will enforce the USGA Rules and such local rules as apply to the course on which competition is held.  All disputed    
  HOME   points will be referred to the Rules Chair for final decision.    
      3.  The Tournament Chair will serve as host to the annual Winners' Circle Tournament.  Additionally, she will make all arrangements    
  MEMBER CLUBS   and confirm with clubs when field day event will be held.  She will be in charge of all field day competitions, in cooperation with the Santa    
      Margarita Representative of the hostess club.  The Tournament Chair mut have access to and be able to operate a computer with the     
  CALENDAR   necessary spreadsheet software to receive and maintain the Field Day and Winners' Circle records in a consistent, professional manner.    
      4.  The Parliamentarian will ordinarily be the immediate past President.  She will advise the President when questions arise about correct    
  FIELD DAYS   parliamentary procedure.  If the immediate past President is no longer eligible to be a regular member of the Board of Directors, she may    
      be an honorary member without voting privileges.    
  OFFICERS &   5.  The Publicity Chair will be responsible for informing news media of field day results, team play results, changes in officers, and other    
     DIRECTORS   newsworthy information about SMWGA.    
      6.  The Trophy Chair will be responsible for purchasing all trophies authorized by the Board of Directors.  She will submit all bills for such    
  MEMBERSHIP   purchases to the Treasurer.    
      7.  The Membership Chair will be responsible for preparing and distributing the roster, member directories, and bag tags. It is     
  TEAM   recommended that the Membership Chair have access to and be able to operate a computer with the necessary spreadsheet    
      software to receive and maintain the roster and directory and transfer those records to the directory printer in a consistent,    
  BYLAWS &   professional manner.    
  STANDING RULES   8.  The Calendar Chair will be responsible for obtaining all dates related to SMWGA events from member clubs.  She will provide    
      updated reporting and distribution of the calendar of dates at the regularly scheduled Board of Directors meetings and assist in    
  MINUTES   resolving scheduling issues.    
      9.  The Team Major will be responsible for conducting annual team play within the Association.  Any changes in procedure or awards    
      must be approved by the Board of Directors.    
      10.  The Webmaster will be responsible for maintaining and updating the SMWGA website, www.smwga.net.  Major format changes to     
      the site will be made with the approval of the President and the Board of Directors.    
      11.  At the conclusion of the term of office, each officer and appointee will submit a written description of the duties of the position    
      to the successor.    
      ARTICLE VIII:  DUES    
      1.  Individual membership dues and member clubs' dues must be paid no later than December 1 to be included in the following year's     
      directory.  However, anyone in a member club with an established USGA handicap will be allowed to join SMWGA at any time during the    
      year upon payment of current annual dues.    
      2.  The Association's fiscal year will be from January 1 to December 31.    
      3.  Past Presidents will be members without payment of dues for five (5) years following their term.    
      ARTICLE IX:  MEETINGS    
      1.  There will be at least nine (9) meetings of the SMWGA Board of Directors during the fiscal year.  If a special meeting is called, the  
      purpose must be stated in advance of the meeting.    
      2.  The President of the Board of Directors may call special meetings of the general membership with at least ten (10) days notice.  All    
      business to be transacted must be specified in the notification of the special meeting.    
      3.  The annual meeting of the Association will be held on the first Field Day of the calendar year, unless otherwise ordered by the Board    
      of Directors.  The officers and appointees for the ensuing year will be introduced at the annual meeting.    
      4.  Thirty (30) days' notice of the annual meeting will be sent by the Corresponding Secretary to all past Presidents.    
      5.  When necessary, the President may call special meetings of the executive board.    
      ARTICLE X:  RULES OF ORDER    
      The Association will be governed by Rosenberg's Rules of Order.
