      8.  The Rules Chair shall enforce the USGA Rules and such local rules as apply to the course on      
      which competition is held.  All disputed points shall be referred to the Rules Chair for final decision.      
      9.  The Parliamentarian shall ordinarily be the immediate past President.  She shall advise the      
      President when questions arise about correct parliamentary procedure.  If the immediate past      
      President is no longer eligible to be a regular member of the Board of Directors, she may be an       
      honorary member without voting privileges.      
  Home Page   10.  The Publicity Chair shall be responsible for informing news media of field day results, team play      
      results, changes in officers and other newsworthy information about SMWGA.      
  Member Clubs   11.   The Trophy Chair shall be responsible for purchasing all trophies authorized by the Board of       
      Directors.  She shall submit all bills for such purchases to the Treasurer.      
  Calendar   12.  The Membership Chair shall be responsible for the preparation and distribution of the roster,       
      member directories and bag tags.  It is recommended the Membership Chair have access to and be      
  Officers &    able to operate a computer with the necessary spreadsheet software to receive and maintain the       
    Directors   roster and directory and transfer those records to the directory printer in a consistent,       
      professional manner.      
  Membership   13.  The Calendar Chair shall be responsible for obtaining all dates related to SMWGA events from      
    Information   member clubs.  She shall provide updated reporting and distribution of the calendar of dates at the      
      regularly scheduled Board of Directors meetings and assist in resolving scheduling issues.      
  Team   14.  The Team Major shall be responsible for conducting annual team play within the Association.      
    Information   Any change to procedure or awards must be approved by the Board of Directors.      
      15.  The Webmaster shall be responsible for maintaining and updating the SMWGA Web Site,        
  Field Days   www.smwga.net.  Major format changes to the site will be made under the direction of the       
    Information &   President and the Board of Directors.        
    Winners   16.  At the conclusion of the term of office, each officer and appointed position shall submit a       
      written description of duties to the successor.      
  By Laws &   ARTICLE VII:  DUES      
    Standing Rules   1.  Individual membership dues and member clubs' dues must be paid no later than December 15th       
      to be included in the following year's directory.  However, anyone in a member club with an       
  Minutes   established USGA handicap will be allowed to join SMWGA at any time during the year upon       
      payment of current dues.      
      2.  The fiscal year of the Association shall be from January 1st to December 31st.        
      3.  Honorary members and past Presidents shall be members without payment of dues for     
      five (5) years.    
      ARTICLE VIII:  MEETINGS    
      1.  The annual meeting of the Association shall be held on the first Field Day of the calendar year,     
      unless otherwise ordered by the Board of Directors.  The officers for the ensuing year shall     
      be introduced at the annual meeting.    
      2.  Thirty (30) days notice of the annual meeting shall be sent by the Corresponding Secretary to     
      all honorary members and past Presidents.    
      3.  The President of the Board of Directors may call special meetings of the general membership     
      with at least ten (10) days notice.  All business to be transacted must be specified in the     
      notification of the special meeting.      
      4.  For meetings of the Board of Directors, see Article V, paragraph 2.    
      ARTICLE IX:  RULES OF ORDER      
      The Association shall be governed by Robert's Rules of Order, Revised.
