			MINUTES OF SMWGA BOARD MEETING – July 1, 2009 (Castle Creek)
			The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by President, Jan Chlebowski/ESC.
			THE MINUTES : Motion to accept June 20th minutes made by A.Antle/ELC, seconded by
			C.Simons/ELC-approved by all.
	Home Page		TREASURERS REPORT (Annette Antle/ELC) - Annette distributed the treasurer’s report
			for June 1st through July 1st, 2009. Total income was $2,409.00.  Total expenses $2,618.58.
	Member Clubs		Bank of America balance, $7,636.83..
	& Information		FIELD DAY REPORTS - The count for players at the Castle Creeks Field Day July 9th was 15.
	Page 2		Katie Maldonado will email the Pendelton flyer for their Field Day to be held on August 10th.
	Calendar		CORRESPONDING SECRETARY (Kathy Dells/ELC)  Kathy sent a card thanking Twin Oaks
			for their Field Day.
	Officers &
	Directors		RULES CHAIR (Cyndy Simons/ELC) - Cyndy has purchased the USGA rule book.  Referring
			to a question regarding a penalty for making a practice swing that hits a leaf or leaves, Cyndy
	Membership		cited rule 13-2/22. There is no penalty under certain circumstances.
	Information
			MEMBERSHIP CHAIR (Linda Efflandt/LSM) - Linda reported there are 2 new members:
	Team		Terri Danberg/ELC & Julia Lilly/PEN.
	Information
	Eligibility List		WEB MASTER (Joyce Goldman) - Maggie Brown, Team Major, informed Joyce the team
			eligibility list is not ready for the web site until after the Castle Creek field day on July 9th.
	By Laws &
	Standing Rules		Team Major (Maggie Brown/ESC) - Maggie requested each club have 2 team play dates by
			the 16th when she will have a team captains meeting after field day play at Escondido.
	Field Days
	Information &		OLD BUSINESS - Treasurer Annette Antle reported there is a discrepancy for the money
	Winners		received for Twin Oaks field day which must be addressed in order to correct it.
			Maggie Brown is moving to Santa Fe , New Mexico. Lynn Mollett, Meadow Lake, will be the new
			Team Major.  President Jan Chlebowski distributed the flyers for the Get-A-Way at Borrego
	Minutes		Springs to each club.
			NEW BUSINESS
			Donna Roberts/LSM gave her new email address to the board as donnajr55@yahoo.com.
			Kathy Dells/ELC announced she will be meeting with Fallbrook and Temecula Creek sometime
			after July 20th to finalize their introduction to joining SMWGA.
			Much discussion ensued concerning the number of field days to be held in each year and the
			rotation for the field days.
			J.Goldman and C.Simons/ELC will meet to arrange this rotation when the time arises.
			There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10.00 a.m. The next meeting is
			on Wednesday,  July 29th in the Lake San Marcos Trophy rooom. Checks for the Pendelton
			Field Day will be due at that time.
