SANTA MARGARITA WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION
			MINUTES OF SMWGA BOARD MEETING – June 16, 2010 (Castle Creek)
			The meeting was called to order to 9:00 a.m. by President, Katie Maldonado/PEN.  No in attendance:
			Pam Estes/CC, Kathy Dells/ELC, Linda Efflandt/LSM, Mero Kurre/TO, Char Thielen/TC.
			MINUTES:  The Minutes for the May 19, 2010 meeting were approved.
			TREASURER:  Annette Antle/ELC reported total income May 19 thru June 14, 2010, was $3,684.  Total
			expenses $5,003.61.  Total balance - Bank of America:  6,953.08.
			PRESIDENT:  Katie Maldonado/PEN:  The contract for the Getaway at Pechanga Casino has been
	Home Page		finalized.  The per person cost: $225, double occupancy.  Includes 2 days of golf/cart Nov. 1 & 2,
			buffet breakfast at 7 a.m. on Nov. 2, and awards luncheon following golf on Nov. 2.  Practice round
	Member Clubs		10/31.  Must make own room and golf reservations.  Room = $50/double occupancy, $100/single.
			Practice round = $49.  Tee time must be made through pro shop.  Packets for each participant will
	Calendar		be provided at a late date.  Flyers were distributed.  Handicap differential = 10 strokes.  Names and
			checks should be turned in at 9/15 meeting.  Final acceptance of entry = 10/13.
	Officers &		1st VICE PRESIDENT:  Kathy Cates/MR again apologized for the Winners' Circle scores being posted
	Directors		inaccurately.  That has been corrected.
			CORRESPONDING SECRETARY:  Kathy Dells/ELC sent thank you note to Fallbrook Ladies Club
	Membership		for the wonderful field day they hosted.
	Information		MEMBERSHIP CHAIR:  Linda Efflandt/LSM report:  5 new members:
			Fallbrook GC:  Donna Barton, Aine Smallwood
	Team		Morgan Run Resort:  Cathryn Flynn, Cathi Dow
	Information		Twin Oaks: Cindy Naval
			TEAM MAJOR:  Lynn Mollet/ML clarified member transfer from one club to another as it relates to
	Field Days		team eligibility.  Per our standing rules, a member may not count her original home club field day
	Information &		toward team qualification if she played there prior to transfer, but she may count a field day at her
	Winners		new clubif it was played prior to the transfer.  That person must also have played 6 games at the
			new club before July 15.  Anyone not qualified by that date may not take part in team play until next
	By Laws &		year.
	Standing Rules		OLD BUSINESS:  The revised bylaws will be presented for approval at the September 15 meeting.
			Joyce Goldman will email those changes to the committee members at the end of July and then to the
	Minutes		board, who will post them for 30 days prior to the October date.  Vote to approve will be by the
			December meeting and become effective January 1, 2011.
			NEW BUSINESS:  The following exceptions were made for 2010 team eligibility:
			MR:  Kathy Quinn; LSM: Ruby Anderson, Sharon Andrews.
			Judy Sundstrom/MR was granted an exception so that she might attend the Getaway - approved.
			There being no further business, the meting was adjourned at 10 a.m.  The next meeting will be held
			Wednesday, September 15, 2010 - 9 a.m. - LSM Legends Room.  Initial Getaway participant info will
			be collected.  Last-minute entrant information will be collected at the October 13 meeting.
