			MINUTES OF SMWGA BOARD MEETING – February 6, 2008 (El Camino)
			The meeting was called to order at 9 a.m. by Pam Estes/CC, President.  Absent:  Sue Hukari/SLR
			MINUTES for the January 9, 2008 meeting were approved.

			TREASURER REPORT: The projected 2008 budget: Board Exp. $7,760; SM Reserve $2,712.79;
	Member Clubs		PEN Reserve $392.97.  Budget approved as presented.  Balance in Acct 1/31/08 $8,479.27.

	Page 2		FIELD DAY REPORT:  Cyndy Simons/ELC reported 69 players attended the ELC field day Feb. 11.
			Field Day quotas for 2008 based on 240 members:  CC-11; ESC-18; ELC-15; LSM-17; ML-13; MR-18; PEN-14;
	Calendar		SLR-13; TO-9.  Dawn Jessee/ML mailed ML Field Day sign up sheets to all clubs.  Cost: $35/golf & cart;
			$15/lunch; $4/sweeps = $54.  Game=1-2-3.
	Officers &
	Directors		PRESIDENT:  Getaway: Monday & Tuesday, Oct. 27 & 28 at Borrego Springs Golf Resort, includes 2 days
			of golf, box lunch and dinner on the 27th; continental breakfast and awards luncheon on the 28th.  Cost: $230
	Membership		for shared room with 2 queen beds; $280 for single room with king bed.  Rooms are around the pool.   There
	Information		will be a shotgun format each day - a 2-day individual eclectic.  Course slope 125.  Practice round cost to be
			provided.  Additional night stay: $98/shared, $155/single.
	Team
	Information		1st VICE PRESIDENT:  Jan Chlebowski/ESC reported all is finalized for the Winner's Circle at Arrowood
	Eligibility List		Golf Course.  A practice round is offered; however, a rate was not provided.  To be eligible, layers must identify
			they are Winners Circle participants when calling for a tee time.
	By Laws &
	Standing Rules		CALENDAR CHAIR:  Judy Welker/PEN announced the LSM team play day is changed to Sept. 4.  Also,
			there will be no board meeting in October.
	Field Days
	Information &		PUBLICITY CHAIR:  Barbara Bell/CC reported ESC results appeared in the No. County Times. The Union
	Winners		Tribune no longer prints golf results in the paper; however, they will post them on their web site.
			MEMBERSHIP CHAIR:  Linda Efflandt/LSM reported 3 new members:  Nancy Watkins/TO; Gail Vokey/LSM;
	Minutes		Jeanne Weaver/LSM.  Linda requested that, when completing the member forms, please include the "calling"
			first name.
			WEBMASTER:  Joyce Goldman/LSM advised the board the sites domain registration fee is due in June.
			NEW BUSINESS:  Cyndy Simons needs 1 more player for the ELC field day - 30-38 hdcp.
			The next meeting in Wednesday, March 19 - 9:00 a.m., in the Lake San Marcos Trophy Room.  Checks for
			the Meadow Lake field day will be due at that time.
			There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
