			MINUTES OF SMWGA BOARD MEETING – March 18, 2009 (Lake San Marcos)
			The meeting was called to order at 9:04 a.m. by Katie Maldonado/PEN, Vice President.
			Absent:  Jan Chlebowski/ESC, Jan Salisbury/CC, Dawn Jessee/CC.
	Home Page		MINUTES:  February 18, 2009 minutes were approved as corrected.
	Member Clubs		TREASURER:  Annette Antle/ELC presented a revised January report based on a corrected
	& Information		starting balance.  She also gave a report for February 2009; ending balance $8,718.95.  Both

	Calendar		FIELD DAY:  There are 19 players signed up for the  March 26 Lake San Marcos Field Day.
			Maggie Brown/ESC distributed flyers for the Field Day at Escondido:  Format=Better Ball of
	Officers &		Partners.  Cost = $54:  $34 cart & golf/$16 lunch/$4 sweeps.  Lynn Mollet/ML asked for any
	Directors		feedback on their field day.   Only one complaint that some people received chicken that was
			not thoroughly cooked.
	Membership
	Information		PRESIDENT:  Katie Maldonado/PEN reported that Jan Chlebowski is doing better since her
			surgery.  Kathy Dells/ELC sent her our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
	Team
	Information		1st VICE PRESIDENT:  although originally reported under Old Business, Katie Maldonado/PEN
	Eligibility List		asked for estimates of player numbers for Winners' Circle at Shadowridge.  So far we have
			at least 50 players, but estimates are for up to 70 players.
	By Laws &
	Standing Rules		CORRESPONDING SECRETARY:  Get well cards were sent to Jan Chlebowski/ESC and
			Joyce Goldman/LSM.
	Field Days
	Information &		MEMBERSHIP:  Linda Efflandt/LSM announced two additions:  Linda Stadelli/MR (new) and
	Winners		Marjorie Giordani (returning).
			WEBMASTER:  Joyce Goldman/LSM will recheck the website to confirm all references to
	Minutes		team eligibility indicate only one field day is required to qualify for 2009 team.  Any
			discrepancy could be outdated member downloads from the website.
			TEAM MAJOR:  Maggie Brown/ESC distributed the lates team and Winners' Circle eligibility
			list to each club.  Please contact Maggie with any discrepancies.
			OLD BUSINESS:  On Jan Chlebowski's behalf, Maggie Brown announced that this year's
			Getaway will be held at Borrego Springs on October 26 and 27.  More particulars will follow.
			There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:30 a.m.  The next meeting
			is on Wednesday, April 15, at Lake San Marcos CC - Winners' Circle reports will be collected.
