			MINUTES OF SMWGA BOARD MEETING – February 3, 2010 (Lake San Marcos)
			The meeting was called to order at 9:00 by President Katie Maldonado/PEN
			MINUTES:  Joyce Goldman/PEN stated the New Business item in the Jan. 6 minutes that appointed a
			bylaws review committee should read:  "A sub-committee, composed of K. Maldonado/PEN,
			K. Cates/MR, L. Efflandt/LSM, L. Mollet/ML, and J. Goldman/PEN will review the bylaws and present
			their recommendations to the 10-member committee for review and approval.  Motion carried.
			TREASURER:  Annette Antle/ELC emailed the P&L for 1/2010.  Total income $6,821; total expenses
	Home Page		$2,275; net income $4,454.94.  BofA balance $8,863.52.
			FIELD DAY REPORTS:  There are 56 players attending the Lake San Marcos Field Day.
	Member Clubs		Donnie Lidel/TC distributed the Temecula Creek Field Day sign-up sheets.  Date - Monday, March 15.
			Game: 2 best balls of the 4some.  8 a.m. shotgun.  Price: $56.
	Calendar		1st VICE PRESIDENT:  Kathy Cates/MR announced Winners Circle at Morgan Run will be $70.
			Price includes golf, lunch, and possibly a continental breakfast.
	Officers &		CORRESPONDING SECRETARY:  Kathy Dells/ELC sent thank you card to Meadow Lake GC
	Directors		and congratulated the club for a job very well done at their field day.
			CALENDAR CHAIR:  Joyce Goldman/PEN asked reps to make sure all of their club events are listed
	Membership		on the updated SMWGA calendar.  She would also like to include club special events dates.
	Information		RULES CHAIR:  Cyndy Simons/ELC presented an explanation for rule 13-4 a. "Ball in Hazard;
			Prohibited Actions", plus exceptions, item #2 - smoothing sand in a bunker. Also ref. 13-2 & 13-4/5.
	Team		MEMBERSHIP CHAIR:  Linda Efflandt/LSM requested any changes in the 2010 SMWGA handbook be
	Information		entered immediately.  She also suggested that all new club members read the handbook to familiarize
			themselves with SMWGA rules and regulations, team play and field day dates, etc.  Reps should
	Field Days		send new member information in advance so that bag tags can be made.  New Members:

	By Laws &		TEAM MAJOR:  Lynn Mollet/ML reported the GHIN indexes change twice a month - the 1st and 16th.
	Standing Rules		This could be a problem with team play, but the organization can elect to have handicaps change
			only at the beginning of the month.  Motion to follow this update schedule approved.  Motion also
	Minutes		approved to use mid-month handicap updates for both SMWGA special events. Both policies will be
			reviewed after one year.
			Cyndy Simons calculated quotas for field days:  CC-11; ELC15; FB-8; LSM-12; ML-13; MR-11;
			PEN-11; SLR-12; TC-13; TO-9.
			NEW BUSINESS:  Linda Efflandt/LSM gave a corrected GHIN for Megan Gamble/FB-9269231.
			TC Team Captain - Patty Carnes.  CC Field Day date change from Thu. 6/17 to Mon. 6/21.
			OLD BUSINESS:  President K. Maldonado reported there is a conflict re CC's team play on Thu. 10/21.
			CC Team Captain, Dawn Jessee will meet with mgmt. to set a new date.
			There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.  The next meeting = 3/10/10
			9:00 a.m. in the LSM Trophy Room.  Checks for TC Field Day due.
