			MINUTES OF SMWGA BOARD MEETING – March 19, 2008 (Meadowlake)
			The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Pam Estes/CC, President
			Absent:  Joyce Goldman/LSM, Sue Hukari/SLR      Minutes of the 2/6/2008 Mtg. = approved.
			TREASURER: Cyndy Simons/ELC presented a revision to the 1/31/08 report:  Income $9,279;
	Home Page		Expenses $4,444.35; Bal. in Operating Fund $8,669.66.  Total Deposits 2/29/08 $0; Total
			Expenses $4,640.81; Balance in Operating Fund 2/29/08 $4,028.85.  PEN Reserve $392.97

	& Information		FIELD DAY - ML:  79 Players for Monday, 3/24/08 Field Day.

			1st Vice President: A practice round is available at Arrowood for $49 any day before
	Calendar		Winners Circle.  Reps are to inform those without a win that they can play at Arrowood;
			however, they would not be eligible to participate in the prizes.
	Officers &
	Directors		Corresponding Secretary:  Dawn Jessee/ML advised of Penny Blanchard/PEN death.
			A memorial will be held Sat., March 29 at Pendleton.  Pam Estes commended the PEN ladies
	Membership		for their outstanding contributions and sacrifice with constant visits and care during her illness.
	Information
			Trophy Chair:  Kathy Cates/MR said the plaques for low gross/net for Winners Circle will be
	Team		available after they have been engraved.  Certificates have been made - possibly the Pro Shop
	Information		at Arrowood could enter the names of the winners on those certs.  Frames for the certs is
	Eligibility List		being researched.
	By Laws &		Membership Chair:  One new member - Susan Williams/TO.  Linda Efflandt/LSM
	Standing Rules		recommended new members be introduced at field day events, making them feel welcome.
			Playing with experienced members could contribute to their comfort.
	Field Days
	Information &		Team Major:  The last day to qualify for team play is July 14, 2008 - Twin Oaks.
	Winners
			Parliamentarian:  Kathy Dells/SLR showed concern about friendliness and consideration
			from all members during field days and team play.
	Minutes
			New Business:  Barbara Bell/CC said she was approached by a member of Fallbrook CC who
			are very interested in joining SMWGA.  Pam Estes and Kathy Dells will contact Fallbrook and
			present information about the requirements.
			Players have complained about a lack of courtesy at field days, etc.  Also, discussed smoker
			courtesy.  Club Reps are to discuss those problems at the Club level.
			The next meeting is Wednesday, April 9, 2008 - The Trophy Room/Lake San Marcos.
			Checks for Winners Circle at Arrowood will be due at that time.  There being no further
			business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
