SANTA MARGARITA WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION
			MINUTES OF SMWGA BOARD MEETING – March 10, 2010 (Temecula Creek)
	HOME		The meeting was called to order at 9 a.m. by President Katie Maldonado/PEN.  Not in attend-
			ance:Pam Estes/CC,Donnie Liedel/TC,Joyce Goldman/PEN,Teri Stock/SLR,Kathy Dells/ELC
	MEMBER CLUBS		MINUTES:  The minutes of the February 3 meeting were accepted.
			TREASURER'S REPORT:  Annette Antle/ELC emailed the P&L for Jan. & Feb. '10.  Total income =
	CALENDAR		$3,265; total expenses = $3,393.54.  BofA Balance = $8,734.98.
			FIELD DAY REPORTS:  There are 95 players attending the TC field day Monday, March 15.
	FIELD DAYS		PRESIDENT:  Kathy Maldonado/PEN asked if the $40 fee for team play this year had been
			resolved.  Team Major Lynn Mollet/ML advised reps from all clubs had responded in the affirmative.
	OFFICERS &		Katie stated it was likely team play costs could increase next year.  Reps should advise members.
	DIRECTORS		1st VICE PRESIDENT:  Kathy Cates/MR ditributed flyers for Winner's Circle at MR on Wed., Apr. 26.
			Cost = $70.  Includes continental breakfast, lunch, golf, and cart.  8:30 a.m. shotgun.  Prizes for
	MEMBERSHIP		Winner's Circle with be gift certificates from Trader Joe's.
			June Boerrigter/ML presented a letter from Sandra Watkins requesting a special dispensation to qualify
	TEAM		for team play by participating in Winner's Circle because of limited availability for field days.  Motion
			carried:  she may play team this year but must play two field days to qualify for 2011 team play.
	BYLAWS &		CORRESPONDING SECRETARY:  Thank you note was sent to LSM for their field day.
	STANDING RULES		RULES CHAIR:  Cyndy Simons/ELC said she has match play rules of golf fromUSGA through WSCGA
			which she will bring to the April meeting.
	MINUTES		MEMBERSHIP:  Linda Efflandt/LSM asked reps to email new member names prior to the meeting so
			she can prepare bag tags and handbook.
			5 New Members:  Sally Peck/FB; Diana Jones/TC; Jung Hee Park-Modrich/TC; Tracie Everett/TC;
			Ruth Ann Labrum/TC
			WEBMASTER:  Joyce Goldman/PEN asked reps to provide member club pictures and additional
			information for inclusion on the website.  The team area continues to expand, including current
			eligibility for team play and Winner's Circle.
			TEAM MAJOR:  Lynn Mollet/ML informed the board that Patti Carnes is TC team captain.  Team play
			schedule is on the website.  October 15 index will be used for the Getaway.
			NEW BUSINESS:  Linda Efflandt/LSM reminded the reps that, based on club quotas, the maximum
			number of players at a field day is 120.
			OLD BUSINESS:  Getaway:  Tracy Starkjohann/TO conferred with Pechanga reprsentative Debi Harlow.
			Pechanga offered a good price for 2 days of golf, room, and lunch.  Katie Maldonado/PEN accepted
			the offer; at this time, Pechanga will be the site of the 2010 SMWGA Getaway.
			There being no further busines, the meeting adjourned at 10:15 a.m.  The next meeting is Wed., Apr. 21,
			2010 - 9 a.m. in the LSM Legends Room.  Checks for Winner's Circle will be due.
