      MINUTES OF SMWGA BOARD MEETING – April 21, 2010 (Winner's Circle)      
           
  HOME   The meeting was called to order at 9 a.m. by President, Katie Maldonado/PEN.      
      Not in Attendance:  Donnie Liedel & Charlene Thielen/TC, Denean Rivera/MR, June Boerrigter/ML,      
  MEMBER CLUBS   Kurre Mero/TO, Jan Salisbury & Pam Estes/CC.      
           
  CALENDAR   MINUTES:  Motion to approve March 10 minutes made/seconded & approved.      
      TREASURER:  Annette Antle/ELC emailed P&L for March 2010.  Total income $5,692; total      
  FIELD DAYS   expenses $4,932.36.  BofA balance $9,493.69.  Full report attached to the minutes.      
      WINNER'S CIRCLE:  Kathy Cates/MR, Tournament Chair, reported there are 84 players signed up for      
  OFFICERS &   Winner's Circle.  The committee will post all scores.  Kathy received confirmation to play the D Flight      
     DIRECTORS   as 3-somes.  All others will play as 4-somes.  The budget for prizes is $1,500.  All plans are complete.      
      FIELD DAY:  Carla Barlow/FB distributed signup sheets for the Fallbrook Field Day, Monday, May 23 -      
  MEMBERSHIP   8 a.m. shotgun.  Format:  2 Best Balls of the 4-some.  Cost:  $54.      
      PRESIDENT:  Katie Maldonado/PEN requested that, to avoid receiving so many emails, representatives      
  TEAM   not use the "replay all" option unless applicable.  The getaway has been scheduled at Pechanga Casino      
      - playing the Journey course November 1 & 2.  Probable cost:  $240 or less, double occupancy.  Includes      
  BYLAWS &   2 days of golf, room with course view, Tuesday breakfast and awards luncheon. Tee time Monday: 11 a.m.    
  STANDING RULES   Tuesday: 8:30 a.m.  Flyers will be distributed after the cost is firm.  Webmaster Joyce Goldman/PEN has      
      posted a preliminary announcement on the website.  Much enthusiasm is already being shown by members.    
  MINUTES   MEMBERSHIP CHAIR:  Linda Efflandt/LSM reported 2 new members:      
      Barbara Balser/TO and Marcia Weiner/TO      
      TEAM MAJOR:  Lynn Mollet/ML is planning a captains' meeting after the May 19 meeting.  At that      
      meeting, she will review all procedures and forms for team play and, if desired, give a hands-on demo on      
      the forms.      
           
      OLD BUSINESS:  Joyce Goldman/PEN, Subcommittee Chair, reminded members of the Bylaws Review      
      Subcommittee that a meeting is tentatively set for 8 a.m., Wednesday, May 19.  Katie Maldonado/PEN      
      asked that the committee include a clause allowing meetings of the Executive Board.      
           
      NEW BUSINESS:  Mary Dawn Sandlin is now a Rep for Fallbrook.  Please delete Jean Tucker and      
      Aileen Erhardt from correspondence.      
      There being no further bueinss, the meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m.  The next meeting will be      
      Wednesday, May 19 - 9:00 a.m., n the Lake San Marcos Legends Room.  Checks for the Fallbrook Field      
      Day are due at that meeting.
