      5.  SMWGA EVENTS    
  HOME   SMWGA events are open only to current dues paying members.    
      A.  Field Days:     
  MEMBER CLUBS   (1)  Members who wish to participate in a field day must sign up and pay for the event before the posted    
      cancellation date.    
  CALENDAR   (2)  No feels will be refunded to a member who has signed up to play in a field day unless the cancellation    
      is made by the posted cancellation date for the event.    
  FIELD DAYS   B.  Winners' Circle Tournament:    
      (1)  This individual event will be held at the home course of the First Vice President.    
  OFFICERS &   (2)  Any SMWGA member who, in the year since the last Winners Circle Tournament was held, won an    
     DIRECTORS   award at an SMWGA field day at any club may participate in Winners' Circle.    
      (3)  The size of the field for this event will be limited to the capacity of the course.  Club membership quotas,    
  MEMBERSHIP   calculated as of January 1, will apply.  If necessary, a waiting list will be maintained at each club, with openings    
      first filled at the club level and then overall.  If there are more members wishing to attend than overall spots    
  TEAM   available, any open spots in the field will be filled by lottery.    
      (4)  Winners' Circler awards will include Gross and Net winners in each flight, with a separate award and a trophy    
  BYLAWS &   presented for both Low Gross and Low Net Over-the-Field.  Participants are eligible to win only 1 award.    
  STANDING RULES   C.  Getaway Tournament:    
      (1)  This annual event is to be held on a neutral course selected by the President.    
  MINUTES   (2)  Any SMWGA member in good standing may participate in this event.    
      (3)  The size of the field for this event will be limited to the capacity of the course.  Club membership quotas,    
      calculated as of January 1, will apply.  If necessary, a waiting list will be maintained at each club, with openings    
      first filled at the club level and then overall.  If there are more members wishing to attend than overall spots    
      available, any open spots in the field will be filled by lottery.    
      (4)  Partners will be paired with different playing partners in their flight each of the two (2) days, with the pairings    
      determined by the Tournament Chair and the event committee.    
      (5)  This event will be governed by USGA rules, including a maximum 10-stroke handicap differential.    
      (6)  Getaway Tournament awards will only include Gross and Net winners in each flight.    
         
      6.  MEMBERSHIP DUES AND DATE OF MEMBERSHIP     
      A.  Membership dues are due and payable by December 15th.  There is no penalty for late payment of dues.    
      The date of membership shall be the date on which the representative of the new member's club notifies the    
      Membership Chair.  The effective membership date will be so noted in the minutes of the next meeting of the    
      Board of Directors.    
      B.  A member seeking to transfer her membership will notify the representatives of both clubs of her intentions.      
      The representative from her new club will notify the Membership Chair.  The date of membership shall be the     
      date on which the representative of the new member's club notifies the Membership Chair.  The effective    
      membership date will be so noted in the minutes of the next meeting of the Board of Directors.
